As little kept
as possible.
A shield is only as strong as what's behind it can afford to lose. So uHawu Cybershield is built the other way round — to hold almost nothing. One audited cryptographic core, shaped for two worlds: your work, and your family.
One idea, applied everywhere.
Most security asks you to trust a company with everything, then promises to guard it. We remove the thing worth guarding.
Nothing to steal
The less we store, the less anyone can take. Every tool is built to hold the bare minimum — and often nothing at all.
We can't read it
You hold the keys. The system is built so we couldn't read your data even if someone forced us to.
No one to trust
Wherever we can, your data goes straight between your own devices — never resting on a server you'd have to trust.
For work that can't trust the cloud.
Four tools, ready to deploy today. Each one removes a thing an attacker would normally go after.
Desktop Guardian
Your files stay sealed on the disk and only open into memory while you're using them. Steal the laptop and there's only ciphertext.
NetVault
A shared vault where everyone unlocks with their own key. No admin master key for an attacker — or an insider — to take.
Password Interceptor
A password manager that stores no passwords. Each one is re-derived the moment you need it, so there's no vault to breach.
P2P Vault
Files sync straight from one device to another, encrypted and signed. Nothing sits on a cloud server in between.
Protect your family from the outside world.
The same encryption, shaped for a household — it protects your family from strangers and leaks, not your kids from you. We can't read any of it.
uPhone
An ordinary Android phone, locked down for a child: only the apps you approve, no open app store, trackers and adult sites blocked across the whole phone, and everything sealed on the device. You manage it from your own phone — nothing to read, nothing to set up wrong.
Working prototype. Pilot families in South Africa and the Netherlands wanted.
The apps that come on it
uChat
Private messaging. In-person pairing means no stranger can reach your child.
uPhoto
A family camera and gallery, encrypted on the phone. Photos stay in the family.
uWeb
A kids' browser that blocks trackers and adult sites, and forgets cookies on close.
How it protects
No stranger can reach your child
uChat pairs people in person, so there's no username or number a stranger can find. A child's new contact needs a parent's OK — you approve who, you never read what.
Trackers and adult sites, blocked
Ad-trackers and adult sites are blocked across the whole phone by default — not app by app. Less profiling, fewer nasty surprises.
Family moments stay home
The family camera and gallery are encrypted on the phone, so no other app or cloud can read them. They stay inside the family.
A lost phone isn't a leak
Everything is encrypted on the phone, so a lost or stolen phone gives up nothing — the data is unreadable without the lock.
On the phone
What parents control
You set it. They can't change it. We can't see it.
One screen on your side: approve each app, block trackers and adult sites, and lock camera, microphone, location and contacts per app. Choose open-but-filtered web or an approved-sites-only list. It all lives on the phone — never with us.
